Eudaimonia- A/W 2024 Trend Forecast

Eudaimonia is an Autumn/ Winter 2024 trend forecast. Eudaimonia, deriving from Greek, means a contented state of being happy, healthy, and prosperous. Eudaimonia explores how we as humans can begin to heal our mental health struggles through the use of fashion. In Eudaimonia, three personas are created for people to embody, helping them heal from the inside out. The first chapter, The Preservationist, focuses on childhood and the use of fashion to heal our inner child. The second chapter, The Individualist, focuses on how important it is to be unapologetically yourself and how the use of bright colors and over-exaggerated textiles can improve people's happiness. The third chapter, The Futurist, explores how we can look to future technologies to help us in ways we never knew were possible. Each of these chapters come together to show the forecasted trends of 2024.

Eudaimonia was my final masters thesis. We were asked to create a trend book along with an in-person table display. For the display I created different textiles for each chapter of Eudaimonia. I also partnered with three different undergraduate students to display design pieces that coincided with each of the chapters of my book. To view the full forecast use the link below.
