RENATUS- S/S 2027 Knitwear Forecast AVAVAV

RENATUS is a spring/ summer 2027 trend forecast and product design for the brand AVAVAV. This trend forecast revolved around the concept of circularity and the new age of deconstruction to reconstruction. With the fast fashion epidemic prevailing, now more than ever we need to change consumers mindsets. This trend forecast and product suggestion explores knitwear garments that unravel as you wear them over time, to a state of bareness, leaving just the structure of the garment left. Once the garment unravels to this stage, then the garment can be sent back to the company to be re-knitted in new colors and designs. The term Renatus derives from the latin meaning of reincarnation and demonstrates how old garments can be reincarnated into brand new pieces. Diving deeper, RENATUS explores how us as humans mentally break down from time to time, become bare with emotions before we can become a better version of ourselves. It also discusses how as a society, we are at a point where our society needs to unravel and go back to the basics in order to become a better society for the future.
